Greetings from Center UMC!

Center church is open for in-person worship (at 30% capacity.) We are following the protocol listed below, so that we may safely worship together indoors. We ask that everyone please fill out a weekly health assessment before arriving for in-person worship, as well as  following the procedural guidelines listed below.

  1. In order to attend worship at Center everyone will need to wear masks all the time; from the time you get out of your car until you get back to your car.

  2. You are expected to leave your car and walk to the entrance of the building socially distant ( 6 ft) from anyone else.

  3. Upon arrival, if you haven't checked in by using the online method , then you will be asked a set of 5 questions:

    • Have you been sick the last two weeks?

    • Have you experienced unusual coughing?

    • Have you experienced shortness of breath?

    • Have you experienced abnormal loss of taste or smell?

    • Have you been exposed to COVID 19 virus in the last two weeks?

    • You will then be asked to give your contact information, a phone number and/or an email for the purposes of contact tracing if anyone at the service should contract the virus.

  4. When entering the church please use sanitizer that will be in the dispenser at the door.

  5. Please wait for an usher to take you to your seat that has been marked off and 6 ft away from anyone else. Note that families who have stayed together during this Pandemic will be able to sit side by side.

  6.  There will not be a nursery nor Children's church. Children will sit with their families.

  7. During the service you are asked to remain in your place. There will be no congregational singing because of the threat of spreading the virus through airborne particles. Our praise team will be socially distant from all others being 12 ft away.  There is an air purifier between the musicians and the congregation to protect everyone.

  8. Once the service is over please remain in your seat until directed by an usher when to leave and which exit you should take.

  9. Finally, once you leave the building please remain socially distant from other families as you return to your vehicle.

  10. There are medical grade air purification units strategically placed in the sanctuary.  This will help keep us all as safe as possible.

  11. CLICK HERE for a quick video explaining how we will safely open.

We encourage you to register for Sunday's service online, by CLICKING HERE, (you only need to complete this once EACH WEEK) so that you can answer the above questions and give your contact information which will speed up the process on Sunday morning. But I want to be clear, that people will be seated on a first come, first served basis when they arrive, whether or not they have registered online.

Please arrive by 9:45 so that we can ask the necessary questions, have you seated, and begin the service promptly at 10:00 (we don’t want to hold up those that are worshipping online.)

We are starting back!  I realize and understand that many of you are not comfortable returning yet, and may not be ready until an approved vaccine is available. Center will continue to stream the service via the links on our website, as well as mail the slides and sermon to those that have no internet service.

Please be in prayer for all who lead and volunteer to make this return possible.

Blessings and Peace be with you.
